Meisha Academy by Heileybury Studying Schedule 

 (Guidance is provided throughout the middle and high school years)

                 G9                

From August to January of the next yea

1. Students will have a comprehensive understanding of the school's various resources, hardware and software facilities, and make full and effective use of the resources on campus.

2. Students will get adapted to the English teaching and learning mode of international high school as soon as possible, and strive for ideal academic performance.

3. Students need to actively participate in campus activities, such as Student Union and student associations, to develop interests and improve leadership skills.

4. Students need to strengthen reading abilities, select and read English materials of suitable levels, and develop a reading habit for a long time, in order to improve vocabulary.

From February to June of the next year

1. With the guidance of advisors, students will conduct personality tests and career assessments, and explore the direction of higher education based on the results.

2. Students will begin to explore the direction of higher education, visit the websites of universities in countries they intend to go, understand the evaluation and admission criteria for ideal candidates, and plan for future study.

3. Students will begin to make a preliminary design for future major and career choice, and consciously associate it with their volunteer work and community service as much as possible.

4. If students are good at sports or/and arts, they should continue to play to their strengths. They should talk to their coaches or/and art teacher regularly to see how good their talents are rated, and to seek for suggestions for future development.

From August to January of the next yea

1. Students need to begin to prepare for the TOEFL or IELTS examinations (if applicable).

2. Students will communicate with advisors regularly and plan and communicate on the arrangement of academic and extracurricular activities.

From February to June of the next year

Students will take the TOEFL or IELTS examinations (if applicable) and SAT/ACT/A-Level examinations (if applicable).

From July to August of the next year

Summer activities, such as being community volunteers, taking online or offline courses, etc.

August

Students will complete course selection and make studying plans according to the school curriculum arrangement, and their personal studying plan and academic level.

From September to December

Students will make and implement their plans for university application, and organize application documents, such as examination results, proposed examination schedule, portfolio, etc.

From January to march of the next year

Students will take the TOEFL or IELTS examinations (if applicable) and SAT/ACT examinations (if applicable), and apply for references; personalized university-application guidance and document-making guidance will be provided; etc.

From April to June of the next year

Students will take SAT/ACT/A-Level examinations (if applicable), and apply for university summer programmes; personalized school-selection guidance and document-making guidance will be provided; etc.

From July to August of the next year

Summer activities, such as visiting universities, going to the summer school, taking an internship, doing projects and researches, etc.

From September to December

Students will decide which institutions they will apply for, deliver application documents, and take SAT/ACT/A-Level examinations (if applicable).

From December to April of the next year

Students need to keep good academic performances, and get admissions from universities.

From May to July of the next year

Students will apply for university accommodations, get the visa, and prepare for travelling.

From August to September of the next year

Enrollment.

 

Notes:

1. TOEFL or other similar language proficiency test scores are required to apply for the summer camp programme.

2. Schedule of SAT: March, May, June, October, November and December of every year

3. Schedule of ACT: February, April, June, September, October and December of every year

4. Schedule of A-Level: From May to June and from October to November of every year
