Development of Internal and External Qualities

Meisha Academy by Haileybury advocates green, open, shared, and intelligent cultural features. We hope to advocate experiential education and cross-border thinking in a multi-dimensional perspective and encourage students to value the discoveries they make andlearn true self-expression.

In accordance with our educational philosophy, Meisha Academy by Haileybury has adopted theVCE+AP Curricula to cultivate students’ comprehensive qualities of character, physique, thinking, temperament and language. By integrating green, open, shared and intelligent school cultural features, it aims to cultivate outstanding international citizens who are creative, considerate, willing to explore and additionallyhave strong cross-border abilities.

Meta-learning Curriculum

It focuses on facts and conceptual knowledge and surface knowledge to exercise abstract understanding of thinking. It makes students understand, get familiar with, apply, and migrate the logical path of meta-knowledge.

Memory training, mind mapping

Star Life Curriculum

It emphasizes on cultivating students’ comprehensive qualities of “Character, Physique, Thinking, Temperament and Language”. It aims at cultivating excellent international citizens who have abilities to create, think, explore, and cross boundaries. 

Golf, sailing, skiing, and martial arts.

Life Aesthetics Curriculum

The Academy advocates the philosophy of life and living, builds relationship between man and society and between man and world, inspires the students’ life potential, and improves the character of students.

Social etiquette, dining etiquette and personal image creation

World Civilization Curriculum

It integrates humanities curriculum resources, opens up and reshapes the boundaries of the humanities curriculum, cultivates students’ self-consistent and sincere world outlook and values, and better deals with the relationship between man and society.

World history, world geography, social studies, drama exploration, folk aesthetics and artistic culture

  

Basic arrangement of School-based Curriculum

G12

At least 5 courses each term, including EAL English, CFL Chinese and at least one math course

G11

At least 6 courses each term, including EAL English, CFL Chinese and at least one math course. Students with a lower level of English will be arranged additional tutor courses.

G10

At least 6 courses each term, including English, maths, Chinese, Science, PE and art. Students will choose the corresponding maths course based on their actual situation and willingness. We encourage students with excellent grades to take an VCE math course, the scores will be counted in ATAR.

G9

At least 6 courses each term, including English, maths, Chinese, Science, PE and art.
